Store First

Store First, a leading UK self-storage provider, asked us to build a new website and online booking platform. Our goal was to create a simple, effective way for customers to order, manage, and pay for storage units online. We designed and developed the platform using Craft CMS, backed by a custom API and real-time data tools.

Store First needed more than a marketing website. They wanted a fully integrated system that could reflect live availability and pricing across sixteen locations. We also had to connect with Space Manager, their third-party system, to keep physical site data in sync with the online experience.

We built a responsive website with a booking platform that allows customers to check availability, calculate pricing, and reserve units in real time. A custom calculator tool helps users estimate their storage needs quickly. All data flows through a robust API, which integrates seamlessly with Space Manager to ensure consistency across physical and digital channels. Store First now offers customers a smooth online experience that matches the ease of their in-store service. Their new platform supports growth, improves efficiency, and increases visibility across all locations. According to the 2023 Self Storage Annual Industry Report, the sector’s annual turnover reached £990 million and is expected to hit £1 billion. Occupancy rates are holding at 83.3%, with rental returns rising to £27.19 per sq ft. Over 2 million sq ft of space was newly occupied, while 17% of customers said their storage needs had changed due to the cost of living crisis. Store First’s modern platform helps them respond to this shifting demand with clarity and control.
