Overview
Pinterest is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for users, brands, and creators. To reinforce this, they launched Pinterest Presents—a global event sharing product updates and trend insights, including the Pinterest Predicts initiative. Tokyo Digital, in partnership with Amplify, was responsible for building the digital platform and managing the event across seven territories and three time zones.
Challenge
We needed to deliver a seamless experience that went beyond a typical webinar. The platform had to reflect Pinterest’s identity, communicate new features, and reach a global audience—live and on-demand. Managing invitations, registration, and live streaming across multiple regions added technical and logistical complexity. We also needed to capture audience data to inform future activations.
Solution
We built the platform using Hopin, customizing every touchpoint to align with Pinterest’s message, “It’s Different Here.” The experience combined a live physical event with a global digital stream, followed by a recording for extended reach. We also developed a custom analytics aggregator to track performance and provide clear post-event insights. New product features were unveiled during the event, including Premiere Spotlight, which gives brands exclusive placements on Pinterest’s search and home feed to increase visibility, and Quiz Ads, a new format that integrates multiple-choice questions into Pins for more personalized engagement. Quiz Ads achieved an 80% completion rate, offering brands a more interactive way to connect with users.
