Google Chrome Developer Summit

Virtual conference where developers can learn about the latest tools and updates coming to the Google Chrome browser.
Overview
Chrome Dev Summit is Google’s annual developer conference focused on the latest tools, features, and updates in the Chrome browser. Tokyo Digital was responsible for designing and building the event website and platform, aimed at a global virtual audience of developers. The event features a keynote, interactive sessions, and opportunities for developers to engage directly with the Chrome team.
Challenge
We needed to build a platform that could support a global online audience and facilitate a range of live and interactive content. The experience had to scale across time zones, handle registration and access to limited-capacity sessions, and deliver smooth live streams and on-demand content. It also had to support high levels of user engagement with a flexible, developer-friendly interface.
Solution
We developed a responsive digital platform that delivered the keynote, live AMA, workshops, office hours, and learning lounges. While the keynote and AMA were open-access, other sessions had restricted availability, so we implemented scheduling and access management tools to ensure smooth participation. The platform supported both high-level announcements and in-depth learning, giving developers a direct line to the Chrome team. The result was an engaging and educational experience that helped the community stay up to date with Chrome’s development and apply new techniques in their own projects.
